Key Responsibilities

Plan and execute safe flight operations, making critical decisions regarding flight paths, weather conditions, and passenger safety.
Conduct pre-flight and post-flight checks, ensuring all ballooning equipment is in excellent condition.
Ensure the safety of passengers, crew, and equipment at all times.
Maintain accurate flight records, documenting all trips, maintenance activities, and operational data.
Assist in regular maintenance and inspections of hot air balloons and related aviation equipment.
Collaborate with ground crew members for smooth take-offs, landings, and passenger briefings.
Adhere to all aviation regulations and company safety protocols.
Provide an engaging and informative experience for tourists, sharing insights about the landscapes, wildlife, and ballooning adventure.
Execute additional tasks as assigned by the Chief Pilot or Operations Manager.

Qualifications and Skills

Minimum Class C Pilot License (as required for commercial hot air balloon operations).
Minimum of 500 flight hours with experience in flying balloons of 400,000 cu ft and above.
Valid commercial pilot license, meeting the regulatory standards for operating commercial ballooning services.
Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and balloon maintenance.
Flight record-keeping expertise, ensuring compliance with aviation safety standards.
Proficiency in English (fluency in Kiswahili is an added advantage).
Excellent problem-solving and quick decision-making skills, especially in dynamic weather conditions.
Outstanding customer service and communication skills, ensuring a pleasant and informative experience for passengers.
