KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Vacancy 1: HBB Regional Sales Manager

Reporting to the Sales Lead – HBB, the successful candidate will be entrusted with the following core duties:

  • Lead and manage the 5G and Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) sales team within the designated regional cluster to ensure aggressive achievement of monthly and quarterly targets.

  • Execute regional 5G and FWA strategic plans through tactical direction and motivation of the sales team.

  • Monitor and evaluate regional sales performance, identify gaps, and formulate corrective measures in real-time.

  • Track competitor activities and trends to design responsive strategies that protect and grow Airtel’s market share.

  • Resolve escalated customer complaints within the cluster promptly to ensure exceptional service delivery and client satisfaction.

  • Develop and maintain high-performance team culture by training, coaching, and mentoring team members for continuous improvement.

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional departments to ensure seamless delivery and activation of HBB services.

  • Analyze sales data and trends, generating insightful reports that guide strategic decisions at the regional level.

Vacancy 2: Fixed Assets and GL Reporting Accountant

As part of the Airtel Africa finance team, this position demands a meticulous finance professional with an analytical mindset. Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain and monitor the company’s fixed asset register ensuring accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation.

  • Perform monthly reconciliations between sub-ledgers and the general ledger for fixed assets and associated accounts.

  • Coordinate physical asset verification exercises, liaising with internal departments to update records and document variances.

  • Prepare and submit GL reports including trial balances, balance sheets, and profit/loss statements aligned with IFRS and internal policies.

  • Support internal and external audits, supplying required schedules, documentation, and explanations in a timely manner.

  • Analyze financial data trends, detect anomalies and propose action plans to improve reporting integrity.

  • Collaborate with cross-country finance teams across Airtel Africa to standardize and improve accounting processes.

  • Drive automation in fixed asset and GL reporting through ERP system enhancements and digital tools.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

For HBB Regional Sales Manager

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in telecommunications, broadband, or related B2C/B2B sales roles.

  • Proven leadership skills managing regional teams with a track record of exceeding targets.

  • In-depth understanding of 5G and FWA technologies, market trends, and customer needs.

  • Strong knowledge of sales analytics, CRM systems, and field sales enablement tools.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, target-driven environments and make data-backed decisions.

For Fixed Assets and GL Reporting Accountant

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce. CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification is required.

  • At least 3 years of experience in financial reporting, asset management, or GL accounting.

  • Proficient in Oracle ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and financial reconciliation tools.

  • Knowledge of IFRS and local regulatory reporting frameworks.

  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a structured, deadline-driven environment.

  • Strong problem-solving mindset and collaborative approach when working with teams.
