Key Responsibilities

As a Field Collections Agent, you will be responsible for:

1. Loan Recovery and Payment Compliance

  • Engaging with clients with overdue payments, persuading them to comply with repayment schedules.
  • Conducting on-site visits to customers and negotiating settlements where necessary.
  • Ensuring customers understand their financial obligations and the consequences of non-payment.

2. Asset Repossession and Security Management

  • Identifying and repossessing financed motorcycles from clients who have failed to comply with their loan terms.
  • Working with law enforcement agencies and other government bodies to ensure the safe custody of repossessed assets.
  • Maintaining detailed records of repossessions, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.

3. Investigative and Risk Analysis Reporting

  • Conducting thorough investigations on missing motorcycles and providing detailed reports on findings.
  • Collaborating with internal credit analysts to assess risks and develop strategies for loan approvals.
  • Proposing solutions to minimize asset loss and improve risk management.

4. Compliance and Legal Coordination

  • Staying up to date with Kenyan financial regulations related to motorcycle financing.
  • Ensuring compliance with laws and company policies while handling repossessions and debt collections.
  • Working with internal teams to improve tracking systems for financed assets.

5. Monitoring and Reporting

  • Preparing and presenting weekly and monthly reports on recovery performance.
  • Developing new strategies to enhance collection efficiency and reduce default rates.
  • Keeping a detailed record of customer interactions, payment agreements, and asset recoveries.

Qualifications and Skills

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • Experience: Prior experience in debt recovery, field collections, or credit management is an added advantage.
  • Customer Service Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with customers and maintain professional relationships.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Strong analytical skills to identify challenges and develop solutions.
  • Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently and take initiative in high-pressure situations.
  • Adaptability: Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Negotiation Skills: Excellent ability to persuade customers and resolve disputes.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in English and Swahili.
  • Valid Driving License: Must know how to ride a motorcycle and possess a valid license.
