KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, polishing, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms, kitchens, windows, walls, floors, and furniture in both commercial and residential settings.
• Manage cleaning schedules, ensuring assigned duties are completed efficiently and within time.
• Handle cleaning equipment and machinery such as vacuum cleaners, floor polishers, pressure washers, and carpet cleaning tools.
• Replenish consumables like tissue, hand soap, and air fresheners where necessary.
• Report maintenance issues or facility damages identified during cleaning tasks.
• Use appropriate cleaning agents and follow chemical safety guidelines to ensure safe and effective cleaning.
• Follow company standard operating procedures (SOPs) and health protocols at all times.
• Support hygiene audits and inspections by ensuring consistent adherence to client or sector standards.
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients onsite.
• Participate in team training, meetings, and refresher courses organized by the company.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience in professional cleaning, either in domestic or commercial environments.
• KCSE certificate (high school completion) is required.
• Additional training or certification in cleaning, hygiene, sanitation, or occupational health and safety is a strong advantage.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment, including floor polishing, carpet care, and sanitization protocols.
• Good time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage workloads efficiently.
• Excellent physical stamina, able to stand, bend, and carry cleaning equipment for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering high standards of cleanliness.
• Punctual, respectful, and disciplined, especially in client-facing roles.
• Ability to follow instructions, both written and verbal, and work under supervision or independently.
• Team-oriented mindset, contributing to a supportive and accountable work environment.
• Ability to communicate in basic English and/or Kiswahili with clients and supervisors.
