Introduction
Bodhi Global Analysis is seeking qualified and experienced enumerators to participate in an in-depth research project on climate change and insecurity in the Kenya-Somalia border region. This project aims to investigate the complex relationship between climate change and security risks in the Kenya-Somalia-Ethiopia (KSE) borderlands. The research will focus on the Mandera Triangle and the cross-border region between Garissa County (Kenya) and Lower Juba (Somalia).
Selected enumerators will play a critical role in data collection, contributing to a study that will inform policy recommendations and provide practical strategies for mitigating climate-related security risks. This role offers an excellent opportunity for field researchers, social scientists, and data collectors to engage in impactful work with a leading research organization.

Key Responsibilities
- Attend a three-day training on data collection methodologies, research ethics, and research background to become familiar with the qualitative and quantitative tools.
- Conduct Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) and community-based quantitative surveys, following instructions from Bodhi staff or field coordinators.
- Accurately collect, enter, transcribe, and record responses to FGDs and key informant interviews in the required templates provided by Bodhi.
- Ensure timely submission of completed surveys in electronic format.
- Participate in data quality assurance checks with lead consultants and field coordinators.
- Adhere to ethical considerations, including gender and disability sensitivity, throughout the data collection process.
- Comply with Bodhi’s research standards and professional conduct guidelines during field operations.
Qualifications and Skills
- MUST be a resident of Mandera County or Garissa County (Liboi, Sarim, or Habul).
- Final-year undergraduate student or graduate with a degree in health sciences, social sciences, or related fields.
- Previous experience conducting data collection within Mandera or Garissa County.
- Experience in qualitative data collection is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in local languages spoken in the target areas.
- Ownership of an Android smartphone (Android 6 and above) for data entry.
- Availability in February and early March for data collection (upon successful completion of training).
- Willingness and ability to travel to remote areas within the designated research locations.
