This is a full-time onsite position based in Nairobi, Kenya. The ideal candidate will oversee strategic planning, budgeting, and operational efficiency, ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations.

Key Responsibilities
As the Coordinator Finance and Administration, your primary responsibilities include:
Financial Management
- Developing and implementing financial plans and budgets, outlining projected revenue sources and expenditures.
- Installing effective financial management systems to improve reporting and accounting processes.
- Establishing stringent expenditure controls to ensure payments are authorized and budgetary allocations are adhered to.
- Maintaining a fixed assets policy to govern acquisitions, maintenance, valuation, and disposal.
- Designing and maintaining financial information systems for general ledger, job costing, asset management, and income tracking.
- Interpreting financial reports and advising the Executive Director on significant trends and actionable insights.
Administration
- Developing and maintaining effective office systems for smooth daily operations.
- Ensuring procurement processes comply with organizational and donor regulations.
- Supporting logistics for program activities and coordinating administrative tasks.
- Reviewing organizational performance and evaluating progress against strategic goals.
Human Resources
- Advising on HR policies to ensure compliance with statutory regulations.
- Maintaining personnel records and overseeing recruitment and induction processes.
- Implementing strategies to attract and retain qualified candidates with the right skills and attitudes.
Compliance and Reporting
- Preparing annual reports, donor reports, and project proposals in line with statutory requirements.
- Filing returns and ensuring compliance with local laws and donor agreements.
- Representing Kituo at meetings, workshops, and conferences to discuss financial matters.
Qualifications and Skills
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or Economics.
- Registered member of ICPAK.
- A Master’s degree in a related field is an added advantage.
Relevant Experience
- At least 5 years’ experience in financial and grants management within national development projects.
Key Skills
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced skills in spreadsheets and word processing.
- Strong analytical abilities and familiarity with financial analysis tools.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ethical management and conflict resolution skills.
