Key Responsibilities

As a Collections Officer, you will:

1. Achieve monthly collection targets by engaging directly with clients.
2. Keep track of current and overdue loans to ensure accurate reporting and management.
3. Close follow-up to ensure debtors honor their commitments and promises.
4. Negotiate payment deadlines and terms for loans.
5. Identify gaps in loan recovery systems and escalate concerns to the Team Lead.
6. Build trust and rapport with debtors, fostering positive relationships.
7. Regularly update account statuses in the loan management system.
8. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations to avoid legal risks.
9. Perform additional duties assigned by the Team Lead.

Job Competencies (Knowledge, Experience, and Attributes)

Academic Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree/Diploma/Certificate/Training in any relevant field (not mandatory).
• Banking or Sacco experience is an added advantage.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• Previous experience in loan recovery or collections is a plus.
