KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop, and maintain cloud infrastructure to support business operations and engineering teams.
- Implement and manage AWS services, Kubernetes clusters, and containerized applications.
- Utilize GitOps (ArgoCD) and Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) deployment and management.
- Establish best practices for cloud security, high availability, and performance optimization.
- Monitor and troubleshoot cloud environments using Datadog and other observability tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system reliability and scalability.
- Guide and mentor junior engineers in cloud engineering best practices and DevOps methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations, including GDPR and industry standards.
- Automate cloud infrastructure deployment and management processes.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with cloud infrastructure and security.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Minimum Qualifications
- MSc in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in cloud engineering.
- Proficiency in AWS, Containers, Kubernetes, GitOps (Argo CD), Terraform, and HashiCorp Vault.
- Hands-on experience with GitHub or Bitbucket for version control.
- Strong understanding of data privacy and security principles.
- Expertise in designing scalable, high-availability, and secure cloud architectures.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional level).
- Experience with DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
- Ability to design and implement CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, Golang, or JavaScript.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, international environment.
- Experience with risk identification and mitigation strategies related to GDPR compliance.
