KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct periodic maintenance on vehicles sold by CFAO Mobility Kenya, following standard operating procedures and safety protocols.
- Perform inspections and basic repairs of mechanical, electronic, and electrical vehicle systems under the guidance of certified senior technicians.
- Prepare, review, and explain technical reports detailing diagnostics, repairs conducted, and service recommendations.
- Participate in classroom-based technical training modules, covering core automotive systems and diagnostic procedures.
- Engage in e-learning sessions to enhance theoretical knowledge and self-paced development in modern automotive technologies.
- Undertake practical training in real-time workshop settings with structured mentoring from certified CFAO Mobility technicians.
- Apply learning in On-the-Job Training (OJT) environments, supporting day-to-day operations in branch-level service departments.
- Demonstrate continuous personal development, taking initiative to seek guidance, improve accuracy, and build a professional work ethic.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
To qualify for the 2025 CFAO Mobility Technician Apprenticeship Intake, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- KCSE Mean Grade of C+ minimum
- Grade C or above in English, Mathematics, and Physics
- Successfully completed a Certificate or Diploma in Engineering, Automotive Technology, or related fields from a recognized institution
- Demonstrated working experience in the automotive sector (internship or entry-level exposure acceptable)
- Age limit of 27 years and below as of April 2025
- Strong interest in vehicle diagnostics, mechanics, and electronic systems
- Basic computer literacy to facilitate participation in e-learning components
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Note: Candidates must have completed and passed in all modules of their respective diploma or certificate courses to be eligible.
