Introduction

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Centre Manager to lead our Riverside Platinum Branch in Nairobi. This pivotal role offers an opportunity to drive branch performance, foster customer relationships, and contribute to the growth of a leading financial institution. The position is onsite, requiring a hands-on approach to branch management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve Profitability Targets: Maximize revenue and manage costs to meet and exceed branch profitability goals.
  • Portfolio Growth: Expand and monitor the branch’s liability and asset portfolios to achieve business targets.
  • Customer Base Expansion: Grow the customer base and ensure retention through high levels of customer satisfaction and cross-selling of products.
  • Branch Management: Oversee efficient utilization of resources to ensure smooth branch operations.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Deliver exceptional customer service by maintaining high service standards.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to the Enterprise-Wide Risk Management Framework and all regulatory requirements.
  • Team Leadership: Motivate, coach, and develop a high-performing team to achieve branch objectives.
  • Digital Migration Champion: Promote and lead the adoption of digital banking solutions within the branch.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Educational Background: A University Degree from a recognized institution.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years in General Banking, with at least 4 years as a Branch Manager in a High Net Worth/Premium/Advantage Center.
  • Sales and Retail Banking: Proven experience in Sales, Personal, Business, or Retail Banking.
  • Credit Analysis: Strong background in Credit Analysis and administration.
  • Bank Operations: Comprehensive understanding of bank operations, including Cash Management, Clearing, Accounts, and Administration.
  • Performance Track Record: Demonstrated consistent high performance in previous roles over the last three years.
  • Product Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Retail Banking products and services, along with extensive industry insight.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to network and develop strong business relationships.
  • Risk and Credit Policies: A thorough understanding of risk management and credit policies and procedures.
  • Leadership Abilities: Strong leadership skills with demonstrated competencies in driving high performance.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent planning, organization, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
