Key Responsibilities
As a Cataract Surgeon, you will:
- Diagnose and Manage Common Eye Conditions: Perform comprehensive assessments and develop tailored treatment plans.
- Assist in Cataract Surgeries and Follow-Up Care: Conduct pre-operative evaluations, perform cataract surgeries, and ensure thorough post-operative care.
- Conduct Comprehensive Eye Examinations: Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to evaluate eye health and vision quality.
- Educate Patients on Eye Care: Provide guidance on preventative measures and promote awareness about common eye conditions.
- Collaborate with a Multidisciplinary Team: Work closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic care.
Qualifications and Skills
To excel in this role, you must have:
- Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery, with a specialization in Ophthalmology.
- Registration and Licensing by the Clinical Officers Council of Kenya.
- Experience in Cataract Surgery: Proven track record in performing cataract surgeries or related procedures is highly preferred.
- Strong Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Ability to build rapport with patients and work effectively within a team.
