Key Responsibilities

As a Biomedical Engineer at St. Mary’s Mission Hospital, your responsibilities will include:

• Implementing planned preventive and maintenance programs to ensure the optimal functioning of medical equipment.
• Inspecting, installing, servicing, and repairing medical devices in accordance with safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
• Conducting staff training sessions to educate healthcare personnel on the proper use and handling of new medical equipment.
• Assessing hospital equipment functionality and recommending necessary upgrades or replacements.
• Ensuring compliance with biomedical standards and safety protocols in the maintenance and operation of medical devices.
• Maintaining detailed records and documentation for equipment maintenance, troubleshooting reports, and service logs.

Qualifications & Skills

To qualify for this role, you should have:

• Diploma in Biomedical Engineering Technology (A degree in Biomedical Engineering is an added advantage).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the biomedical field, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Experience with medical equipment maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting is a significant plus.
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) to collaborate with medical staff and technicians.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Ability to work independently while ensuring adherence to safety protocols and biomedical regulations.
