KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct audits to ensure financial records comply with internal policies and regulations.
- Review financial transactions and reports for accuracy and consistency.
- Assist in the preparation of audit reports and present findings to management.
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies and governmental financial regulations.
- Support the finance team in implementing internal control measures.
- Maintain up-to-date records of all audit reports and findings.
- Assist in identifying financial discrepancies and recommending corrective actions.
- Provide support in budget planning and financial forecasting as needed.
- Assist in verifying vendor invoices, payroll accuracy, and patient billing audits to ensure compliance with internal financial procedures.
- Analyze financial data and identify trends that may indicate discrepancies or inefficiencies within hospital financial operations.
- Collaborate with other finance team members to ensure the hospital meets all financial reporting deadlines.
- Provide input on ways to improve financial reporting systems, internal auditing techniques, and compliance strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Educational Background: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional Certification: CPA Part II or equivalent professional certification is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in auditing, finance, or accounting, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong ability to review financial records and transactions for accuracy.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of internal financial policies and hospital regulations.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to detect financial discrepancies and suggest corrective actions.
- Analytical Skills: Capability to assess financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting and compliance documentation.
