Key Responsibilities
Results-Based Monitoring and Evaluation
- Develop and review M&E frameworks, workplans, and indicator performance trackers to align with ChildFund standards.
- Oversee and ensure the quality implementation of M&E activities in program areas.
- Conduct routine monitoring, data quality audits, and field visits, documenting action plans and progress reports.
- Assist in internal/external reviews, evaluations, and lessons learned sessions.
- Build and maintain Microsoft Excel/Power BI Dashboards to monitor program and financial performance.
Capacity Building and Support
- Assess and strengthen the capacity of staff and volunteers in M&E processes.
- Provide training, mentoring, and coaching to ensure high-quality data collection and reporting.
Management Information Systems (MIS)
- Manage and support the CAMEL system, ensuring it meets program reporting requirements.
- Troubleshoot issues and facilitate training sessions for all system users.
- Collaborate with the IT Officer to ensure data collection devices are functional and up to date.
Knowledge Management and Learning
- Prepare routine program progress reports and share best practices through learning products such as case studies and success stories.
- Promote a learning culture by ensuring shared knowledge across field offices and implementing partners.
- Represent ChildFund in partnership meetings and advocacy forums in the counties.
General Responsibilities
- Regularly update data systems, including OneDrive and SharePoint.
- Participate in quarterly reviews to address challenges, progress, and lessons learned.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Skills
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Development Studies, Project Planning, or Applied Statistics.
- 2-4 years of experience in M&E design and implementation in the non-profit or development sector.
- Preferred experience with international NGOs and child programming.
Technical Competencies
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Excel, Power BI, and DHIS2.
- Skills in statistical software: SPSS, STATA, CSPro, Nvivo, ODK/Kobocollect.
- Experience in digital data collection and analysis.
Soft Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capacity to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor teams effectively.
