ABOUT ARTCAFFÉ

Artcaffé operates across three major hospitality experiences:

• Artcaffé Coffee & Bakery – A blend of contemporary and rustic design, offering welcoming cafés in 50+ locations across Kenya.
• Artcaffé Market – A premium grocery and deli experience, featuring freshly baked goods, gourmet cheeses, meats, groceries, and premium alcohol.
• Artcaffé GastroBar – A vibrant post-work haven, featuring expertly crafted cocktails, bar fare, and live music.

AVAILABLE POSITIONS & JOB DESCRIPTIONS

1. Stewards

• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, dining, and back-of-house areas.
• Assist in dishwashing, kitchen sanitation, and proper storage of utensils and equipment.
• Ensure waste disposal and hygiene standards are met in compliance with health regulations.
• Support the kitchen and front-of-house teams in maintaining smooth operations.
• Ensure that work areas, including floors, counters, and storage rooms, are spotless and free from clutter.
• Monitor the condition of kitchen equipment and report any damages to the appropriate personnel for timely maintenance.
• Help with food preparation as needed, including washing vegetables and setting up ingredients for the cooks.
• Ensure compliance with all sanitation and safety regulations to prevent food contamination.

2. Cashiers

• Process customer transactions accurately (cash, card, and digital payments).
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries on menu items.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
• Assist in packing takeaway orders and ensuring order accuracy.
• Maintain accurate cash handling and financial records, reporting any discrepancies immediately.
• Follow company policies related to handling customer complaints and refunds, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Suggest promotional items or offers to customers to enhance their dining experience.
• Train in basic bookkeeping and financial reconciliation to support store financial tracking.

3. Cooks

• Prepare high-quality meals according to Artcaffé’s recipes and standards.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all food preparation areas.
• Follow portion control standards to minimize food wastage.
• Adhere to food safety and handling guidelines to maintain the highest quality standards.
• Innovate and improve menu offerings in collaboration with senior chefs.
• Maintain consistency in food presentation and taste, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Keep track of ingredient stock levels and inform the kitchen manager when supplies need replenishing.

4. Baristas

• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and beverages.
• Maintain a welcoming and engaging customer experience.
• Operate and maintain coffee machines and bar equipment.
• Keep the coffee bar area clean, organized, and fully stocked.
• Educate customers about different coffee blends and brewing methods.
• Develop a deep understanding of Artcaffé’s beverage offerings to recommend drinks that suit customer preferences.
• Train in latte art and advanced brewing techniques to improve the quality of coffee presentation.
• Regularly clean and maintain coffee brewing equipment to ensure efficiency and longevity.

5. Wait Staff (Waiters and Waitresses)

• Provide exceptional customer service to create memorable dining experiences.
• Take orders accurately and deliver food and beverages efficiently.
• Maintain table cleanliness and organization at all times.
• Collaborate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure seamless service.
• Offer personalized recommendations to customers based on their preferences and dietary requirements.
• Observe guest behavior and anticipate needs before they are requested.
• Assist in arranging dining tables for different occasions and ensuring proper table setup.
• Uphold Artcaffé’s service standards by adhering to professional dress codes and etiquette.
