As an Agribusiness Manager, you will be responsible for implementing Digifarm’s expansion strategy, driving new customer acquisition, enhancing user experience, and analyzing market trends to ensure sustainable business growth. The role also involves working closely with product development teams, agents, and commercial partners to optimize Digifarm’s offerings.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Development and Tactical Execution

  • Develop and manage a sales pipeline to drive business growth, customer acquisition, and transactions in the assigned territory.
  • Deliver on revenue and market acquisition targets as per monthly, quarterly, and annual business objectives.
  • Build and manage a network of buyers, aggregators, cooperatives, and farmer groups to enhance product penetration.
  • Lead training programs for Digifarm agents and commercial partners to ensure they are well-equipped to support customer needs.
  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities, map value chains, and implement customer engagement strategies.
  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns, promotions, and loyalty programs to increase Digifarm’s visibility and adoption.
  • Foster strategic relationships with government agencies, NGOs, and agribusiness stakeholders to drive policy alignment and market expansion.

Customer Acquisition, Engagement, and Retention

  • Educate buyers, farmers, and agents on Digifarm’s products and services.
  • Drive customer acquisition through partnerships, referrals, and community outreach programs.
  • Develop and implement customer engagement strategies to maximize lifetime value and transactions.
  • Collaborate with product and tech teams to improve platform usability and customer satisfaction.
  • Execute cross-selling, up-selling, and customer retention strategies that enhance profitability.
  • Leverage customer feedback and data analytics to refine offerings and improve the overall customer experience.

Data Analytics, Performance Monitoring, and Reporting

  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations on market trends, growth insights, and business performance.
  • Use data-driven decision-making to refine business strategies and optimize growth initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and internal policies related to customer data handling.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitive landscape to inform strategy adjustments.
  • Develop predictive analytics models to identify key growth opportunities and potential risks in agribusiness.
  • Utilize big data analytics tools to create customer segmentation strategies that enhance engagement.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and government agencies.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of Digifarm’s strategic initiatives.
  • Represent Digifarm at industry events, trade fairs, and business forums to promote its solutions.
  • Oversee first-line customer support and ensure high service delivery standards.
  • Work closely with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure seamless product distribution and market efficiency.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

  • Achievement of Digifarm’s commercial objectives in the assigned territory.
  • Successful rollout of new solutions and services within target timeframes.
  • Growth and retention of active Digifarm customers.
  • Compliance with regulatory and internal policies.
  • High levels of customer satisfaction and engagement.
  • Expansion of partnership networks and market share growth.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
  • At least six (6) years of experience in business development, sales, or commercial management, with at least three (3) years in sales, account management, or distribution within the agriculture, banking, or technology sector.
  • Strong stakeholder and strategic partnership management skills.
  • Proven experience in market development, revenue growth, and customer acquisition strategies.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • An MBA or relevant Master’s Degree.
  • A valid driving license with demonstrable driving experience in a corporate or agribusiness environment.
  • Hands-on experience with digital platforms, agritech solutions, and fintech applications.
  • Experience in product management and business strategy development.
