Key Responsibilities

  • Pursue a Master of Science Degree in Actuarial Management at BAYES Business School, United Kingdom, focusing on advanced actuarial techniques and industry-relevant skills.
  • Engage in rigorous academic training to develop expertise in risk assessment, financial modeling, and insurance regulation.
  • Participate in scholarship-related activities, including travel, accommodation, and incidental expenses covered by IRA, to ensure a seamless educational experience.
  • Apply knowledge gained to contribute to the growth and development of Kenya’s insurance industry upon completion of the program.
  • Maintain academic excellence and adhere to the professional standards set by the Institute/Faculty of Actuaries.

Qualifications and Skills

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have obtained a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science (at least Upper Second-Class Honors) or an equivalent actuarial qualification.
  • Should have graduated not more than six (6) years ago.
  • Must be a Kenyan citizen interested in pursuing advanced studies in actuarial management.
  • Should have made significant progress toward becoming Associate Members of the Institute/Faculty of Actuaries (minimum 5 professional papers).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Applicants with First Class Honors will have an added advantage, demonstrating exceptional academic prowess in actuarial science education.
  • Strong analytical skills and a passion for applying actuarial methods to real-world insurance challenges.
