Key Responsibilities
As an Accounts Manager, your primary duties will include:
- Managing the company’s financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Preparing detailed financial statements, budgets, and reports for management review.
- Supervising accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and efficient transactions.
- Conducting monthly reconciliations and managing the company’s ledger.
- Collaborating with internal teams to develop and implement financial strategies.
- Ensuring compliance with tax regulations and liaising with external auditors during audits.
- Monitoring cash flow and preparing forecasts for business operations.
- Proactively identifying areas of improvement in financial processes to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills
To excel in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:
Mandatory Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least two years of professional experience in accounting or finance.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision and handle tight deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a goal-oriented mindset.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
- Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in accounting software and tools like QuickBooks or Sage.
- Advanced knowledge of financial regulations and best practices in Kenya.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
