Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting

• Prepare and maintain accurate and timely financial statements.
• Post and manage journal entries for transactions, including sales, purchases, expenses, and payroll.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial records to ensure accuracy.

Taxation

• Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns, including VAT, PAYE, and other statutory requirements.
• Ensure full compliance with Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) regulations.

Budgeting and Forecasting

• Collaborate in the creation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Monitor financial performance against budgets and prepare variance analysis reports.

Internal Controls

• Assist in designing and implementing internal control measures to safeguard company assets and ensure operational efficiency.

Audit Support

• Provide documentation and reports to facilitate external and internal audits.
• Address audit findings and implement corrective actions.

Other Duties

• Offer financial support to other departments.
• Contribute to process improvements to enhance overall efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA Level 4 or higher (Mandatory).
• ACCA (midway or completed) is an added advantage.

Experience

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an accounting role.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software like QuickBooks, SAP, or Xero.
• Knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulations.

Added Advantage

• Fluency in Gujarati.
