KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage all payments and receipts within the branch, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Safeguard the safe custody of accountable documents, maintaining strict security protocols.
  • Verify and supervise the drawing of cheques and payment vouchers to ensure compliance with financial policies.
  • Ensure correct posting into member personal accounts, maintaining detailed and error-free records.
  • Oversee correct fees are charged in the member personal accounts, upholding financial integrity.
  • Prepare branch financial reports and ensure a robust internal control system is implemented.
  • Develop the branch budget and ensure budgetary control throughout the fiscal period.
  • Reconcile general ledger and members’ personal accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.
  • Serve all customers with diligence and effectiveness, enhancing client satisfaction and trust.
  • Conduct physical cash and store verification to maintain accurate inventory and cash flow records.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by supervisors from time to time, demonstrating flexibility and initiative.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor degree in business administration/management or related courses, providing a strong academic foundation.
  • CPA(K) or similar qualification from recognized professional bodies, with registration with ICPAK being essential.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in SACCO background, showcasing proven expertise in financial operations.
  • Excellent Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills for data analysis.
  • Navision ERP(Navision) OR Equivalent software proficiency, ensuring capability with modern accounting tools.
  • Ability to Prepare Financial Statements, demonstrating technical expertise in financial reporting.
  • Have excellent, analytical and report writing skills, enabling clear and strategic communication.
  • Be a team player and able to contribute in the team, fostering collaboration and collective success.
  • Be adaptable and willing to learn, embracing new challenges and professional development.
  • Be self-motivated, driving personal and organizational goals with enthusiasm and independence.
