Position 1: Sales Executive / Relationship Manager
Purpose:
To develop and implement strategic initiatives that drive hospital growth, enhance patient acquisition, build corporate relationships, and onboard new health insurance and medical schemes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead market penetration strategies and volume growth initiatives.
- Onboard insurance companies, corporate schemes, and agents.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders including insurers, referrers, and partners.
- Oversee digital and offline marketing campaigns.
- Initiate health awareness drives such as medical camps, wellness checks, and community outreach.
- Monitor competition and propose tactical responses.
- Oversee business development team performance and reporting.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in business development, preferably within a private hospital.
- Proven ability in client acquisition, retention, and revenue growth.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare market trends and provider-payer dynamics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
Position 2: Medical Laboratory Technologist
Purpose:
To deliver accurate, timely, and ethical medical laboratory services and manage lab operations in compliance with health regulations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Collect and process samples.
- Maintain lab equipment and ensure proper disposal of specimens.
- Record results accurately and manage inventory.
- Follow infection control procedures.
- Set up or manage startup lab operations when needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Diploma or higher in Medical Laboratory Technology.
- Must be registered and licensed by the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB).
- At least 2 years of hands-on lab experience.
- Strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills.
- Computer literacy and experience with laboratory software are a plus.
Position 3: Pharmaceutical Technologist
Purpose:
To ensure precise dispensing, counseling, and management of pharmaceutical products in compliance with Kenya’s pharmacy regulations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Dispense medications accurately.
- Counsel patients on medication usage and side effects.
- Maintain drug inventory and manage expiries.
- Collaborate with medical teams for effective treatment plans.
- Use and maintain accurate HMIS patient records.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology.
- Registered with the Pharmacy & Poisons Board with a valid license.
- Minimum 3 years of work experience in a hospital pharmacy setting.
- Strong understanding of drug interactions, dosages, and contraindications.
- Experience with HMIS is a definite plus.
Position 4: Billing Clerk
Purpose:
To manage patient billing, insurance processing, and accurate financial documentation through the Hospital Management Information System (HMIS).
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Accurately register patients and capture demographic data.
- Process insurance pre-authorizations and follow-ups.
- Prepare invoices, claims, and handle reimbursements.
- Ensure proper coding and completeness of billing documentation.
- Coordinate with SHIF and insurance branches for claim submissions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- CPA II/ACCA or equivalent.
- At least 1–2 years’ experience in a hospital billing department.
- Proficient in medical billing software and coding systems.
- Strong communication and multitasking skills.
- Excellent customer service and confidentiality awareness.
Position 5: Receptionist
Purpose:
To ensure smooth front-office operations by registering patients, validating insurance, and maintaining a welcoming environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Register patients accurately using HMIS.
- Validate and process insurance details and pre-authorizations.
- Maintain and retrieve medical records.
- Respond to patient inquiries professionally.
- Facilitate admission processes in coordination with nursing staff.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Diploma in Health Records/Medical Records.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a hospital reception or records department.
- Proficiency with HMIS and medical data systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail and discretion.
