Available Positions

1. Chief Supply Chain Management Officer (Procurement)

Grade: MNT 15
Number of Positions: 1

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the university’s procurement policies and practices.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor supply chain strategies.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with public procurement and disposal regulations.
  • Maintain inventory controls and accurate records for all supply chain activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, KISM).
  • Minimum of five years of experience in procurement and supply chain management.

2. Chief Security Officer (Security)

Grade: MNT 12
Number of Positions: 1

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive security policies.
  • Ensure campus safety for students, staff, and property.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and threat analysis.
  • Liaise with local law enforcement agencies.
  • Supervise and train the university’s security personnel.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminology, or related disciplines.
  • Proven leadership experience in a security management role.
  • Experience in handling security operations in a public or private institution.

3. Senior Legal Officer (Legal)

Grade: MNT 13
Number of Positions: 1

Key Responsibilities

  • Offer legal counsel to the university administration.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including contracts and agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Represent the university in legal proceedings.
  • Provide training on legal matters to university staff.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) and admission to the Bar (Advocate of the High Court of Kenya).
  • At least five years of legal practice experience in corporate or public sectors.

4. Senior Secretary

Grade: MNT 10

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level administrative support to senior university officials.
  • Manage schedules, correspondence, and reports.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure efficient communication flow.

  • Assist in planning and coordination of university events.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Secretarial Studies or Office Management.

Qualifications
