KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Vacancy 1: Research and Advocacy Consultant
-
Conduct Comprehensive Research on disability inclusion, policy gaps, and emerging advocacy opportunities within Kenya.

Develop Advocacy Strategies and Campaigns aligned with organizational goals and stakeholder needs.
-
Prepare Policy Briefs, Reports, and Position Papers that influence decision-makers and advocate for inclusive policies.
-
Facilitate Stakeholder Engagement Forums to disseminate research findings and foster dialogue on key disability rights issues.
-
Monitor and Analyze Legislative Developments affecting disability rights and social inclusion.
-
Provide Technical Advisory Support to integrate research findings into ongoing and future advocacy programs.
Vacancy 2: Monitoring, Evaluation, Assessment, and Learning (MEAL) Consultant
-
Design and Implement Robust MEAL Frameworks tailored to each project’s objectives and stakeholder requirements.

Develop Inclusive Data Collection Tools and Methodologies ensuring gender sensitivity and accessibility.
-
Conduct Baseline, Midline, and Endline Evaluations to measure the efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainability of programs.
-
Compile Monitoring Reports, Evaluations, and Learning Briefs that inform adaptive programming.
-
Train Project Teams and Partners on MEAL systems, data management protocols, and reporting standards.
-
Ensure Compliance with Donor and Statutory Reporting Requirements, including ethical data handling practices.
-
Promote Learning and Knowledge Sharing by establishing learning forums and facilitating feedback sessions.
Vacancy 3: Impact Assessment Consultant

Lead Impact Assessments of projects to evaluate long-term outcomes and beneficiary satisfaction.

Design Inclusive Impact Measurement Methodologies using quantitative and qualitative tools.
-
Collect and Analyze Data through interviews, focus groups, case studies, and participatory methods.
-
Document Key Lessons Learned, Success Stories, and Best Practices for program refinement.

Produce Detailed Impact Reports offering strategic recommendations for scaling successful interventions.
-
Support Dissemination of Findings through stakeholder workshops and publications.
Vacancy 4: Internal Audit and Risk Consultant
-
Conduct In-Depth Internal Audits to assess financial, operational, and programmatic controls.
-
Evaluate Compliance with Internal Policies, Donor Guidelines, and Regulatory Standards.
-
Identify and Assess Organizational Risks, including financial, operational, and reputational risks.
-
Develop Comprehensive Risk Management Frameworks and propose mitigation strategies.
-
Prepare Audit Reports and Risk Assessments, highlighting key areas for improvement.
-
Provide Capacity Building for Staff and Management on audit findings and risk mitigation best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
For All Consultancy Positions:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Public Policy, Development Studies, Finance, Risk Management, Monitoring & Evaluation, or related fields.

Relevant Postgraduate Degree or Professional Certification will be a distinct advantage.
-
Minimum of 3-5 Years Proven Experience in similar consultancy roles, particularly within Kenya’s development sector.

Extensive Knowledge of Disability Inclusion Frameworks, Kenyan legal and policy landscape, and rights-based approaches.
-
Strong Analytical, Research, and Report Writing Skills.
-
Proficiency in Data Analysis Tools and Software (SPSS, STATA, Excel) for MEAL and Impact roles.

Excellent Communication, Stakeholder Engagement, and Facilitation Skills.
-
High Ethical Standards, Professional Integrity, and Commitment to Confidentiality.
