VACANCY 1: HUMAN RESOURCES INTERN (2 POSTS)

Overview

AA Kenya is seeking two highly motivated Human Resource Interns to join our People & Culture team. This internship is an ideal platform for fresh graduates and early-career professionals to gain hands-on experience in various HR processes while working alongside seasoned professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clerical and administrative support to the HR department
  • Assist with filing and updating HR records
  • Support the recruitment process, including scheduling interviews and preparing interview materials
  • Help respond to staff queries about policies, procedures, and benefits
  • Handle confidential staff documentation with the utmost professionalism
  • Assist in onboarding new staff members and facilitating internal training sessions
  • Support employee wellness initiatives and communication

Minimum Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or a related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

VACANCY 2: HUMAN RESOURCE & ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT

Overview

AA Kenya seeks to hire an experienced and organized Human Resource & Administration Assistant to support various HR and administrative functions. This is a full-time position ideal for individuals with a strong HR background and a passion for operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR files and documentation
  • Respond to staff queries on HR matters including benefits, leave, policies, etc.
  • Perform periodic audits on HR files to ensure compliance
  • Handle HR communications including letters, notices, and employee memos
  • Maintain a grievance and disciplinary action log
  • Support recruitment activities by preparing interview packs and coordinating with candidates
  • Facilitate onboarding and offboarding including enrolling employees into schemes such as pension and medical cover
  • Maintain and enforce annual leave schedules
  • Coordinate office repairs and maintenance with relevant vendors
  • Support training and induction logistics for internal and external learning sessions
  • Liaise with NITA to handle training reimbursement claims and approvals

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar HR administrative role
  • Active membership with the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) and in good standing
