1. Chairperson – Audit and Risk Committee

Position: Chairperson, Audit and Risk Committee
Location: Nairobi, Kenya

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Leadership: Offer strategic direction and oversight to the Audit and Risk Committee, fostering robust risk management and governance practices.
• Agenda Setting: Collaborate with committee members and the Secretary to set clear and actionable meeting agendas.
• Reporting: Regularly report the committee’s activities and decisions to the Commission.
• Audit Follow-ups: Ensure timely implementation of recommendations by internal and external auditors.
• Performance Review: Conduct periodic evaluations of the Internal Audit and Risk function, providing constructive feedback and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Possess at least 15 years of senior management experience in Finance, Accounting, Auditing, Economics, or related fields.

• Be a current member in good standing of a recognized professional body.
• Have no employment or agency relationship with the Commission within the last two years.
• Demonstrate deep knowledge of public sector governance frameworks, including the Public Finance Management Act and Public Audit Act.
• Exhibit strong interpersonal, administrative, and organizational skills.
• Show familiarity with the Commission’s mandate and National Government operations.
