Key Responsibilities
As an English Literature Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in English Literature for Grades 7–9, adhering to the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).
- Assess and monitor student progress through tests, assignments, and feedback mechanisms.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages participation and creativity.
- Inspire students to explore their interests in literature and develop critical thinking skills.
- Actively collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and teaching methods.
- Support students’ moral and character development, aligning with the school’s vision and mission.
- Engage in professional development to stay updated on educational trends and subject-specific advancements.
Qualifications and Skills
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor of Education (Arts) degree with a specialization in English Literature from a recognized institution.
- Registration with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
- At least five years of teaching experience in a recognized school, preferably one delivering the CBC framework.
