Introduction

The Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), established under the Act of Parliament (CAP 213A) in 1995, is Kenya’s premier institution mandated to provide loans, bursaries, and scholarships to students pursuing higher education in accredited institutions across Kenya. HELB plays a vital role in ensuring access to education while maintaining a sustainable revolving fund through the recovery of disbursed loans post-graduation.
