KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly, following all traffic laws and company regulations.
- Ensure timely and efficient transportation of personnel, goods, and equipment.
- Maintain a clean driving record with zero major accidents or traffic violations.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and report any mechanical issues.
- Adhere to both local and international traffic regulations while on duty.
- Stay informed about road conditions, routes, and any potential security risks.
- Assist in emergency response situations as required.
- Maintain detailed records of trips, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance.
- Uphold high standards of professionalism, reliability, and integrity while representing 911 Group.
- Follow pre-determined routes or determine alternative routes in case of unexpected roadblocks.
- Assist in escort and security-related driving where required.
- Work closely with dispatch teams to coordinate schedules and minimize delays.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Valid driver’s license (Class B, C1, C, D2 & D3).
- Minimum of four (4) years of professional driving experience.
- Age requirement: 24-45 years.
- Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Kenya Police.
- A clean driving record with no history of major accidents or serious traffic violations.
- Strong knowledge of Nairobi’s road networks and surrounding areas.
- Excellent understanding of local and international traffic regulations.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work long hours, including weekends and holidays, depending on operational needs.
- Physical fitness and the ability to handle demanding driving schedules.
- Knowledge of basic vehicle troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Experience handling security-sensitive cargo is an added advantage.
ADDED ADVANTAGES
Candidates with the following additional certifications and skills will have an advantage:
- PSV License
- AA Kenya Certification
- Institute Driving License
- Defensive driving training
- Basic mechanical knowledge to handle minor vehicle repairs
- First Aid skills to provide emergency response when required
- Prior experience in a security or logistics firm
- Experience working with fleet management software and tracking systems
