KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan, organize, and co-ordinate activities in the branch to ensure efficient and effective operation and service to the members.
• Ensure proper operation procedures, policies, and guidelines are adhered to across all branch functions.
• Supervise the preparation of daily and monthly reconciliation, monthly trial balances, and quarterly reports on reconciliation and development of savings, loans, portfolio at risk, liquidity reserve, and take appropriate action on such information.
• Grow the Branch membership as per the set annual targets.
• Ensure the retention of the branch membership every year as per the Sacco business plan.
• Carry out aggressive marketing to institutions and individual members within the branch catchment area.
• Ensure consistent and steady uptake of Sacco products and services by the Sacco members.
• Grow the Branch loan book as per the set annual targets as well as maintain a healthy loan portfolio.
• Increase the number of loanees by the percentage rate set on an annual basis.
• Enhance branch staff productivity through performance and talent management to ensure full utilization of staff.
• Ensure the safe custody of all valuable documents and items at the branch.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related courses.
• CPA(K) or similar qualification from recognized professional bodies. Be registered with ICPAK.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience (Sacco background will be an added advantage).
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Navision ERP/Navision OR Equivalent.
• High coordination, ethical, and firm in discharging duties.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good computer skills.
• Good working knowledge of Kenyan Sacco laws, accounting principles, and standards.
• Commitment to quality service performance.
• Excellent leadership and managerial skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
