INTRODUCTION
Are you passionate about Bancassurance and sales support? Do you have experience in insurance sales, client relationship management, and training facilitation? Britam is seeking two Bancassurance Regional Relationship Assistants for a 1-year fixed-term contract in Nairobi, Kenya.
This role will require you to be embedded within bank branches, working closely with banking teams to drive insurance sales, offer operational support, and ensure smooth customer interactions. You will also provide training presentations, generate sales quotations, and monitor business performance to optimize sales pipeline management and client retention.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide sales and operational support to assigned bank branches, ensuring smooth insurance product integration into banking services.
- Assist in the preparation of customer quotations, sales materials, and training presentations on insurance products and related processes.
- Support the bank’s sales teams by offering insurance expertise and guiding customers through various insurance options.
- Develop, manage, and review sales pipelines, ensuring a steady business flow and achievement of sales targets.
- Follow up on customer queries, providing timely responses and escalating issues when necessary.
- Accompany bank field teams to engage with potential clients and drive insurance sales.
- Monitor business opportunities across bank branches and prepare reports on insurance uptake and sales performance.
- Ensure compliance with insurance regulatory requirements while supporting product sales.
- Assist in tracking and following up on premium payments, refunds, commissions, and overrides.
- Research and report on market trends, competitor activities, and industry intelligence to maintain a competitive edge.
- Train bank staff on insurance products, soft skills, and customer relationship management techniques.
- Schedule and coordinate Bancassurance activities, ensuring seamless communication with key stakeholders.
- Ensure timely processing of credit notes, policy documents, and premium-related transactions.
- Work towards customer retention, engaging clients to renew and maintain Medical, Retail Life, Group Life, Pension, Motor, and Non-Motor policies.
- Perform any other duties as assigned, supporting Bancassurance operations and strategic goals.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field (Insurance option preferred).
- At least 1 year of experience in insurance, Bancassurance, or sales.
- Strong knowledge of insurance regulatory requirements and industry practices.
- Familiarity with insurance products, including life, medical, and general insurance.
- Strong sales and marketing management skills with a focus on customer acquisition and retention.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle client relationships diplomatically while ensuring a positive customer experience.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with experience in sales performance tracking.
