KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Finance Intern, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with daily accounting tasks, such as invoice processing, data entry, and account reconciliation.
- Supporting accurate and timely financial recording and payment processing using Sage 300®.
- Contributing to the month-end and year-end closing processes by ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Assisting in bank and supplier reconciliations to maintain financial integrity.
- Helping in the preparation of tax schedules and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
- Supporting annual audit processes by retrieving necessary documents and preparing schedules for auditors.
- Ensuring proper documentation and accounting for travel allowances, reimbursements, and supporting documents.
- Conducting a thorough review and verification of purchase transactions, ensuring compliance with credit terms, purchase order matching, and budget approval processes.
- Providing administrative support for financial tasks and actively contributing to process improvements.
- Performing ad-hoc financial and administrative tasks as required by the finance department.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
To qualify for this internship, candidates should possess the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (formulas, pivot tables, and charts).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively.
- Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts.
- Experience with accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle is an advantage.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- A proactive attitude, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
