KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Training & Development: Develop the annual training and development calendar and facilitate implementation to ensure continuous professional growth for employees.
  • Employee Onboarding: Assist in onboarding new hires, ensuring a seamless transition and proper orientation into the organization.
  • Employee Records Management: Maintain an up-to-date master database of all employee records, ensuring compliance with company and legal requirements.
  • HR Analytics & Reporting: Develop and maintain HR dashboards and reports to track HR metrics and provide insights for decision-making.
  • Employee Relations: Collaborate with line managers to align HR policies with organizational goals, ensuring smooth communication and conflict resolution.
  • Workplace Harmony: Work closely with the HR Manager to prevent and resolve industrial unrest, strikes, and lockouts, safeguarding company interests.
  • Separation & Exit Process: Ensure proper adherence to company policies when handling employee separation and exit processes.
  • Internal Communications: Draft and distribute memos, job adverts, and other internal communications, ensuring all updates are posted on company noticeboards.
  • Performance Management: Support and implement performance management initiatives to enhance employee productivity and engagement.
  • Disciplinary Management: Handle disciplinary cases in consultation with the HR Manager, ensuring compliance with due process and company policies.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience working in the HR function of a manufacturing or similar industry.
  • Legal Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Kenyan labor laws and industrial relations best practices.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Professional Membership: Must be a registered member of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM).
  • Soft Skills: Strong planning, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills to handle various HR processes effectively.
  • Industry Awareness: Good understanding of the company’s business environment, policies, and organizational objectives.
