Key Responsibilities

As a Gender and Inclusion Caseworker, you will:

  • Assess and document cases related to gender-based violence (GBV) and child protection.
  • Provide case management services, including psychosocial support, counseling, and referrals.
  • Maintain and update case files in compliance with confidentiality and professional standards.
  • Monitor and follow up on cases to ensure timely resolution and intervention.
  • Coordinate multi-sectoral services for survivors, including medical, legal, and psychological support.
  • Identify at-risk children and refer them to the appropriate protection services.
  • Conduct community awareness campaigns on GBV, child rights, and sexual reproductive health (SRH).
  • Facilitate training sessions in schools on life skills, gender issues, and reproductive health.
  • Strengthen referral pathways and build networks with GBV service providers and stakeholders.
  • Lead gender desks at various SHOFCO service points, ensuring survivors receive prompt assistance.
  • Support community-based interventions and advocacy efforts on gender equality and inclusion.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical standards while handling sensitive cases.

Qualifications and Skills

Required Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Social Sciences, Social Work, Gender Studies, or a related field.
  • Additional training in child protection and gender-based violence case management.
  • 4+ years of experience in case management and child protection work.

Professional Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to conduct interviews, document cases, and write reports.
  • Knowledge of human rights, GBV prevention, and child protection laws.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in local languages and culturally sensitive approaches.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with a diverse team.
