Key Responsibilities

As a Learning & Development Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in shaping the training programs for hotel employees. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Training Program Development & Implementation

  • Conduct at least one Training Needs Analysis (TNA) per year to identify key training requirements for all hotel departments.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate customized training and development programs aligned with identified needs.
  • Develop and update training materials, ensuring they are comprehensive, engaging, and interactive.
  • Organize and set up training sessions, ensuring all logistics are handled efficiently.
  • Oversee the implementation of departmental training initiatives as directed by the Talent & Culture Manager.

Training Coordination & Administration

  • Maintain accurate training records, tracking attendance, performance, and progress.
  • Prepare and submit monthly training reports to the Talent & Culture Manager.
  • Monitor and support departmental trainers, providing feedback, evaluations, and continuous improvements.
  • Coordinate onboarding programs for new hires, ensuring smooth integration into the hotel’s culture.
  • Maintain strong partnerships with local universities, hospitality institutions, and training bodies.

Continuous Learning & Employee Development

  • Promote a culture of continuous learning, encouraging staff participation in training initiatives.
  • Conduct regular training audits, ensuring compliance with hotel standards and industry best practices.
  • Facilitate career development programs, helping employees grow within the organization.
  • Represent the hotel at career fairs, recruitment events, and professional networking forums.
  • Stay updated on modern training methodologies, e-learning technologies, and learning management systems (LMS).

Qualifications & Skills

To be successful in this role, you must meet the following qualifications:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in learning & development, training coordination, or HR training roles.
  • Strong understanding of hotel operations and business acumen.
  • Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in English (oral and written).
  • Strong working knowledge of digital tools, including Microsoft Office.
  • Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS) for training administration.

Preferred Skills

  • Prior experience in hospitality industry training.
  • Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to analyze and measure training effectiveness.
  • Experience in e-learning development, instructional design, and adult learning principles.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple training initiatives simultaneously.
