Key Responsibilities

As a Claims Registration Assistant, you will be tasked with the following:

1. Claims Processing

  • Receive and verify incoming claims to ensure all required documents are complete.
  • Stamp and record claims for accurate reference and documentation.
  • Dispatch claims, invoices, and mail to the respective sections for further action.
  • Scan, index, and upload prepared invoices into the Document Management System (DMS).

2. Customer Interaction

  • Respond professionally to walk-in customer enquiries regarding claims.
  • Provide timely resolutions to customer and service provider queries and complaints.

3. Claims Management and Verification

  • Ensure the accurate billing of e-claims before processing.
  • Facilitate the registration of claims in the system for provider payments.
  • Follow up on provider statement reconciliation to ensure prompt closure of accounts.

4. Record Maintenance and Disposal

  • Prepare received claims for scanning and archiving.
  • Oversee the safe disposal of claim documents in adherence to the approved disposal procedures.

5. Reporting and Collaboration

  • Support the Claims Department by generating reports on claims received, processed, and pending.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline claims registration workflows.

Qualifications and Skills

Academic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree: Preferably in Commerce or a related field.

Professional Qualifications

  • Progress toward IIK/CII certification is an added advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in claims processing or a similar role.
